What happens next
Four steps to your first practice

Reserve a free trial
Fill in the WrestlingIQ trial form. It takes a couple of minutes and does not require payment.

Check your email
We will send you a welcome email directing you to the appropriate class — with day and time.

Show up ten minutes early
T-shirt, shorts, water bottle, and wrestling shoes if you have them — if not, we have some you can borrow. One of our coaches will greet you.

Register for the season
If it is a fit, complete full registration in WrestlingIQ and we will get your wrestler into a class.
USA Wrestling membership
Wrestlers who compete need a current USA Wrestling membership — it covers athlete insurance and is required to enter sanctioned tournaments. It is separate from club registration and is purchased directly from USA Wrestling.
Aledo Wrestling Club on USA Wrestling
Trial and practice-only wrestlers do not need it to get started.

Common questions
Is the trial practice really free?
Yes. Reserve it through the WrestlingIQ free-trial form and come to a session for your wrestler's class. No payment and no gear purchase required.
How do I register?
All registration runs through WrestlingIQ. Start with the free trial or go straight to full season registration.
When does the new season start?
New season classes start Monday, August 3. The full weekly schedule is on the schedule page.
What should my wrestler wear?
A t-shirt and athletic shorts with no zippers, buttons or pockets, plus a water bottle. Bare feet or wrestling shoes — street shoes never go on the mat. Full gear list is on the program page.
Do we need a USA Wrestling membership straight away?
Only for sanctioned competition. Wrestlers who train with us without competing do not need one to start.
Is AWC part of a school district?
No. Aledo Wrestling Club is an independent club serving families across Parker County and the surrounding area, and we are not affiliated with any school district program.
